Isolate 2008

sellarsprojectspace is pleased to announce an exhibition of photographs by Colorado artist Michael Mowry in an exhibition titled, Isolate. This exhibition is part of sellarsprojectspace's Summer Series (short exhibitions of various local emerging artists). Isolate runs July 30 - August 12, 2008, with an opening reception held for the artist on Friday, July 31, 2008 from 6 - 9 p.m. during the Tennyson Street Cultural District's First Friday Artwalk and Stroll.

Michael Mowry, a Colorado native, has spent a large part of his adult life traveling the world (having now visited over 30 countries). His travel has greatly influenced and affected his photography and perception of the world. Working in the architectural industry for the last 16 years for OZ Architecture, Mowry's travels began his last year of college in Copenhagen, Denmark. Mowry is also very active in the arts in Colorado where he is President of the board for the Colorado Art Ranch and sits  on the board of the Denver Art Museum's social arts-education organization, CultureHaus. His photographs have been included in several exhibitions in the area including a solo exhibition at CPAC.
